We are Spoke'n'Chain - Teatro Nomade a Velo On tour with our Kamishibai story telling theatre since 2013 "In order to attain the impossible one must attempt the absurd." Miguel de Cervantes In May 2013 we set forth on this adventure on two big orange cargo bikes. We have been cycling through Europe ever since, all along the way performing our Kamishibai theatre, collaborating with arts organisations, bicycle enthusiasts as well as community and environmental groups. This tour is an exercise in simplicity, sustainability and low impact living that seeks to demonstrate that another way of living is possible. We are supporters of the small is beautiful philosophy and believe in community led, sustainable, low impact living. We celebrate voluntary simplicity by visiting volunteer run spaces, transition networks, artist led venues, community gardens, intentional communities and others that are seeking to consume less and share more. Another world is possible!
On the road with Jonny Jeegante 2023
After two years of prison island we are finally back on the road! We will be in our 9th season of touring Europe by bicycle. We finally have our new show Jonny Jeegante and the Bici Benshi in our saddle bags and are hoping to be taking it to many community bike workshops, neighbourhood cafes and other beautiful places along our way. We will be staying in France for the moment and then head south towards Italy and the Balkans for the winter. Giants will walk the earth once again!
